HARPER COUNTY EMS
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1. Harper
County EMS employees must:
a.
be at least 18 years of age
b.
provide evidence of high school diploma, or equivalent.
c.
provide evidence of current Kansas Certification
d.
provide evidence of a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
e.
effectively communicate in oral and written forms to the extent
necessary to perform all job responsibilities.
f.
have no psychological impairments that would prevent fulfilling their
job description. Manual labor includes carrying equipment, lifting up to 100
lbs. alone, and with assistance above 200 lbs. The ability to climb, crawl, bend,
kneel, stoop, twist, reach, fine hand coordination, abele to meet acceptable
eye requirements, and operate ambulances is required.
g.
be willing to work any day of the week, as scheduled, including
holidays. Adverse working conditions exist within the position. Exposure to
human blood and body fluid, communicable disease, hazardous chemicals,
explosives, asbestos, excessive noise, radiation, heights, work in confined
areas, and all types of weather conditions is expected.
h.
have strong problem solving and decision making skills.
