Harper County: Focus on Our Future

With the 2006 opening of the Plumb Thicket Landfill, Harper County has begun to receive landfill fees and new property taxes for the first time.

Harper County: Focus on Our Future is a way for our Harper County community to have informed conversation about the landfill dollars and our future. The process will invite citizens to learn about community investment options and direct their ideas to commissioners.

“The investment of landfill revenues is likely the most important decision our county
commission will make,” said Commission Chairman Mike Fergason. “We want to listen carefully
to advice about how the county can realize the greatest public benefit – now and in the future –
from its spending decisions.”
