Harper County Public Works Department is hiring for a Full Time Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for performing advanced clerical and some technical work in support of the Public Works operations including the processing of vendor invoices and timesheets; file and record maintenance, record management in the public works software; and other related general office duties.
Applicants must possess the ability to interact well with people, communicate effectively, and handle several tasks simultaneously. This position requires high-level computer and administrative skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, organization, and initiative.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid, non-restricted driver’s license. Ability to complete certification courses and pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required.
