Job Opening: Field Appraiser I, County Appraiser
The Harper County Appraiser’s Office is accepting applications for a Field Appraiser I to work and train with the County Appraiser, and potentially move into a more advanced Appraiser role within the County. Job responsibilities include, under the supervision of the County Appraiser, the collection of real property characteristic data, data entry, assignment of final review values, informal hearings and otherwise assisting the Appraiser.
The selected candidate will be expected to successfully complete Residential and Commercial Data Collection courses within the first year of employment. They will also have the opportunity to continue their education towards a Registered Mass Appraiser (RMA) designation, which would qualify them for the role of Appraiser, or Assistant Appraiser with the County.
Qualifications include:
· High school degree or equivalent
· Valid Driver’s License
· At least six months experience working or studying in the customer service, real estate or construction industries
The established hourly hiring rate for this position is $14.33 – $15.13. Actual rate of pay will be negotiated based on relevant experience.
